A Chat With Tarot About Selling Friend’s Cool Property

I had a great chat with a Tarot yesterday and I wanted to share this conversation with you, so you I can prove once again that the Tarot is a great companion and adviser, and “someone” you can have a great chat with.

So, a friend want to sell his apartment in a popular European city. It’s in the middle of a super touristic area, a stone throw from the beach, 5th floor with a lift (a lift in this area is a big deal as there are mainly old buildings without possibility of installing a lift in the neighborhood), and a beautiful cozy private terrace above the apartment with some sea view. Only 30m2 though, a small, but great place for singles or couples. The family loves the place, but is unfortunately too small for a growing family of 4. All in one, a great property, awesome location, and well maintained, basically this part of the building is only 20 years old. However, the prices in this city (and everywhere else) are crazy and the market stands still. Still, he wants to sell, and wants to buy something bigger, but he isn’t sure what price tag he should put on. He can afford to wait a bit, but still doesn’t want to be unrealistic to the point he can’t sell the property. So, we decided to ask the Tarot for advice.

His first question was: Will we be able to sell our apartment for 400.000 eur?

He got 4 of swords reversed, 10 of wands, justice reversed.

Don’t you love how Tarot gives you clues and sort of talks to you in a subtle way… Tarot says – if you are not in a hurry, yes, there might be a person who will fall on this price (4 swords). The reversed Four of Swords point at a sense of restlessness in his situation, perhaps a feeling of urgency or impatience surrounding the sale. Yes! He can wait a few months, maybe even up to a year, but at the end of the day he wants to sell as the kids are growing and they want to move out of the city and start a new life in another country. So, it is up to him, if he wants to wait. So, in a sense he does feel the pressure to move forward quickly, but this haste could lead to burnout or stress and the weight of the Ten of Wands emphasizes this burden – he is carrying a heavy load, both emotionally and perhaps financially, and it’s taking a toll. If he doesn’t sell quick enough he might lose the opportunity in another country. And, in general, waiting for the right buyer stalls their move to another country, so this card definitely reflects the challenge of managing all the responsibilities and expectations involved in this sale, and it’s clear that the process is more taxing than anticipated. However, with the 10 in the center, this price could lead to a closed cycle, but it’s going to be heavy. And then a Justice reversed – we smiled at this one. It’s a crazy price, unreal, and definitely points to an imbalance or unfairness in the situation. There may be external factors at play, perhaps something that feels out of your control (slow market, growing inflation and the prices for the properties are not following that growth – at least not in comparison to what he paid a decade ago) and this is frustrating for him, that’s for sure. This card warns of potential delays or complications, and also suggests that the outcome may not align perfectly with his expectations.

I told him – this deal with this price will not be easy to conclude, so put this tag only if you’re ready to wait, someone might fall on this price – eventually you could bring this price to a closure, and yes, this won’t be easy, but if you’re ready to carry the burden of time, do it. He knows this price isn’t fair and is made for someone who really wants and appreciates all the important features of the apartment.

What I found funny was that the Tarot gave me an answer what would be a price that would sell right away (4 + 10 + 11 = 250) = 250.000 eur But, yeah, we really know that for this price real-estate agency would buy the apartment and resell it, it would even cover the expenses of high selling taxes. So, yes, 250K is really low for a property like this.

Then, we decided to ask “Will he be able to sell the apartment for 330.000 eur?”

He got: 9 of Wands, Knight of Wands, Page of Pentacles.

I think the first card is about the struggle he has endured up until now – it is not easy for a family of 4 to be in such small apartment. So, perhaps he is getting closer to the resilience and determination to sell it. This card speaks to the weariness that comes from long battles, but it also reassures him that he is nearing the finish line. The knight of Wands charges in, full of energy and ambition. This is a card of movement and swift action. It suggests that things might pick up quickly, and with this price he may find that the sale of the apartment could come faster than anticipated, but it also reminds him not to rush things without considering the details.
In a finance related reading, pentacles are a good sign and the Page of Pentacles sure is one – it even reminds him that he should pay attention to the financial and material aspects carefully – maybe he could even start with a higher price if he wants to land at 330K. This card represents potential—a new opportunity for growth or investment. The sale is possible, but the page asks him to stay diligent and to ensure all the foundations are solid before he moves forward.

Again, the Tarot suggested a possible closing price at 320.000 (9 + 12 + 11 = 32), if he starts at 330K. Cool, isn’t it? 🙂
